Lynne started off the meeting by asking the class (all two of us!) to participate in an ice breaker activity which was fun and gave us the opportunity to use some Blackboard tools.
We then discussed what whe had been working on and I shared that I had completed my first movie and two Jing tutorials (none of which would win an Academy Award) and without Christine's help I would have been stumped. Lynne asked me to put up the mvie and a Jing tutorial which I will do from home.
Unfortunately I was unable to get my microphone to work but as I was able to hear the dialogue and participate on the whiteboard I managed to keep up.
The class looked at creating an avatar using the Voki program.
The demonstration looked straightforward. I haven't had time to experiement yet but will be doing so to create a Tip of the Week avatar for our new Pines Learning on line course (Publisher).
Tip of the Week sounds like a great use for an avatar. Good thinking! I must try it - but first I have to think up a set of tips!!!
