Christine and I brainstormed overview of course as best we could as I have not been able to do morework on timetable.
With Christine's help set up new wiki space and Publisher page and copied info from exisiting wiki to save time.
Next step is to create tutorial using Jing. Software will be available soon for our upgrade then we will meet again and Christine will give me a demo via Blackboard.
Jenny, I have created a TAEDEL501A Facilitate e-learning wiki and made you a member. You may find some of the resources there useful to you.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pity we have to wait for the software - hopefully it will arrive soon as I want it before I go away.
You could be doing some planning - what do you want to demonstrate with Jing? how are you going to communicate? are you going to use the discussion forum? if so, do you want learners to respond to questions? or reflect on their learning? are you going to check learners work? if so, how? do you want each learner to have a page to upload work to? or will you wait for a f2f session? If learners are going to upload work, do you want other learners to critique work?
Or more administrative things like:
who is going to set up the other units?
how are they going to be taught the tools?
how are they going to be motivated to do the hours of work required to set up their pages?
is there any money to pay for setting up?
how are the online components going to be facilitated? how often are facilitators required to check email? discussion forum?
Heaps of things that are no where near as exciting as playing with Jing, iSpringFree, Elluminate, etc.
